Buxton Cricket Club play in the Peak Sports Derbyshire and Cheshire Cricket League, running two senior teams and three junior teams in this league. There is also a Sunday Friendly XI who play regular Sunday friendlies.
Buxton Cricket Club was founded in 1853 and has a rich history. The club plays its home matches at the picturesque Park, a county ground as recently as the mid 1980s.
Over the past decade, the addition of new covers, a fixed practice net facility, a new artificial wicket and a moveable cage has made the Club one of the best equipped in the area. Within the past five years, the Club has also been awarded a sizeable grant to modernise the clubhouse.
Having moved from the North Staffordshire South Cheshire Cricket League at the end of the 2007 season, Buxton have had a successful start in the DCCL and at the end of the 2009 season, the 2nd XI were cowned champions of Division 4 and will now play the 2010 season in Division 3. The 1st XI finished in third place.
The junior teams have won many games in their leagues in the past two seasons and in September 2008, Buxton Under 17s reached the Compstall Cup final.

If you are a junior, we have four ECB qualified coaches and junior coaching is at 6.15pm on Tuesdays at The Park.
